About Grandview Lake

Grandview Lake is a private, man-made reservoir in Ohio Township, Bartholomew County, about ten miles southwest of Columbus, Indiana. The lake sits at roughly 732 feet above sea level in rolling terrain at the edge of the Brown County hills, creating a secluded, wooded setting with scenic coves and long open reaches of water. It anchors a platted residential community, with homes and docks lining much of the shore while large areas of protected woodland preserve a natural feel.

The lake covers roughly 400 acres, with an average depth of around 26 feet and a maximum depth near the dam of approximately 80 feet. Fed by watershed runoff and natural springs, Grandview Lake is known for clear water and a controlled level maintained by adjustable spillways at the dam, completed in 1965 at the headwaters of East Fork White Creek.
