Blue Ridge Lake (officially known as Lake Blue Ridge) is a TVA-managed mountain reservoir located in Fannin County, North Georgia, just minutes from the town of Blue Ridge. The lake was formed by the construction of Blue Ridge Dam, which was completed in 1930 on the Toccoa River. It is one of North Georgia’s most scenic lakes, surrounded by dense forest and rolling Appalachian foothills.
The lake covers approximately 3,290 acres at full pool and features around 65 miles of shoreline. Blue Ridge Lake is especially known for its clear water, cooler mountain temperatures, and peaceful coves.
